Principal's Message - Term 2 Week 5 2014

Dear families, students and staff,

This week our Principal's message is in the form of a video instead of our usual "text" based message.  Watch all the latest news about the new Primary buildings, our recent Open Day, Lumen's Got Talent competition, upcoming sporting events and more ...  A big thank you to two of our senior students, Hannah Fernandez and Charlie Baker who were the stars of the video and assisted with preparation and scripting.  Also thank you to Mr Peter Staulbi for directing and producing the video.  (Hover over the box on the right to make the play controls appear, or just press play.)

Uniform update

You may have noticed that the uniform shop, Coast Road Clothing, is currently closed. We have been informed that the shop will re-open very soon under new management.  We have also been informed that all orders currently sitting with Coast Road will be processed as soon as possible.  Unfortunately we do not have definite dates at this stage.

I would also like to remind our families that the uniform situation is currently under review.  The uniform sub-committee is investigating alternative suppliers which we hope to finalise in the coming weeks. The committee is also reviewing the entire K to 12 uniform (winter/summer/sport) and is proposing a number of variations. The College Community will be given an opportunity to provide feedback regarding these variations.

In the meantime, we appreciate the difficulties you may be experiencing regarding uniform and thank you for your patience. We would also like to extend our thanks to the families of Lumen Christi for presenting their students in a neat and tidy manner despite the difficulties currently associated with our uniform. 

Information Evenings

Just a quick reminder that we have a couple of information evenings coming up:

Year 7 students commencing study in 2015 will have an Information Evening on Tuesday 3 June commencing at 6pm

Students entering Years 9 & 11 in 2015 will have an Information Evening on Thursday 12 June from 6pm.
